A little about who we are
Cindy Goguen has been studying dogs and cats for over 7 years . While growing up she has always had a cat by her side and began to see how dogs too can be great companions . She knew at an early age that her dream would be to work with animals . She bought many books and studied them .

During High School, she   completed her Co-Op program at the Moncton SPCA . This experience taught her the importance of good housing for the animals and began her journey into dog training . Through this program, she was introduced to clicker training by Muriel Wolfs . With the help from Muriel and staff, Cindy was able to see the many reasons why animals are surrendered and how easily it could have been avoided in some cases .

Upon graduation from high school, she began working for Moncton’s largest pet store, Pets Unlimited . Her experience from this large retailer has taught her how to be well organized, knowledge of products, and great customer service .

Spring 2005, Cindy went to Victoria, BC, to study the art of dog training and learn how to deal with problem behaviors . After 3 intense months, she graduated with a high level of success and gained her certificate to be now known as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer . This course gave her a unique technique to help dogs learn quicker and make it lots more fun for handler and dog . Cindy learned great ways to stop bad behaviors and by doing so, how to create a better bond between handler and dog .

After graduation, Cindy traveled to Calgary for a seminar with Allan Bauman in regards to his “Children’s Workshop” . Cindy was taught how to create a good family dog by allowing children and dogs to play games that will teach both parties how to respect one another .

Summer 2005, Cindy was offered an opportunity to work for Grimmer’s Canine College in Shediac, NB . By working there she has gained more confidence on managing a kennel and the basics on dog grooming . She was also able to work with Bill Grimmer and assist in training dogs . Working with Bill helped her learn more about dog psychology and gave her more experience with high drive dogs .

April 2006, Cindy attended another seminar in Amherst, NS . The topic of this seminar was on “Ring Stewarding” given by Judy Richards . Cindy was able to learn more about the conformation ring for the CKC .

November 2006, Cindy became a   professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet   Dog Trainers (CAPPDT) .

Cindy continues to learn more and is always looking for seminars that will continue to enhance her knowledge to better serve man’s best friend .
